Directed by Isaac Lee, 1978 is a funny and moving story about whānau, community, belonging and standing up for what matters.

In the true spirit of the film, 1978 has partnered with local groups with charity screenings. Raglan Naturally Community Trust is lucky enough to bring you our very own community screenings on Sunday September 27th in the Raglan Town Hall.

Set during one of the most turbulent years in Aotearoa’s recent history, 1978 has particular relevance to us here – it was a time when the ongoing struggle for justice and land rights in Whāingaroa was thrust into the national spotlight.
