Unique 'Raglan Naturally' approach to community planning

Our journey.

The foundations of the Raglan Naturally Community Trust lie in the unique ‘Raglan Naturally’ approach to community planning which started in the late 1990s.

Supported by Waikato District Council and led by passionate, proactive community leaders, the first ‘Raglan Naturally Community Plan’ was produced in the early 2000s.

Since then, the Plan has undergone several community-led iterations. The ‘Raglan Naturally Community Plan 2020’ is the current plan.

The Raglan Naturally Community Plan 2020 provides the foundation from which we can all work together to create positive outcomes.

In 2020 the community expressed the need for a stand-alone entity that would ensure the Community Plan was held and kept relevant. It was agreed at that time that the best structure would be a Charitable Trust co-governed with equal representation from hapū and the community.

The Raglan Naturally Community Trust was established in 2021.
