Toitū Te Tiriti – Waitangi Day Whaingaroa 2024

The ‘Toitū Te Tiriti – Waitangi Day Whaingaroa 2024’ event was all about coming together as a community to honour Waitangi Day in a meaningful and inclusive way. It was a space where people could learn, discuss, and reflect on the significance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in Aotearoa.

At the event, attendees got to dive into a historical timeline of important events, chat about the tino rangatiratanga flag, and even add their touch to a Unity Cloak installation. Everyone loved the vibe of sharing knowledge and working together, and big thanks went out to sponsors like PureLink for their support.

The organisers were super thankful to everyone who chipped in and announced that the learning opportunities would keep rolling with the Toitū Te Tiriti Exhibition at the Raglan Old Arts Centre. If you want to keep in the loop, you can sign up for updates through the event’s mailing list or Facebook page.

  • The Toitū Te Tiriti Exhibition runs 10am-2pm at the Old School Arts Centre until March 28th.
  • An online workshop for those needing an up-to-date overview of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is available next month in April. The programme is split over two mornings. Register via Eventbrite: More information at this link.
